Rongahuset is a family home, with three guest rooms, a kitchen where people gather, and a café that opens its doors most weekends. From here, you can explore fjords and mountains, concerts and festivals, or try exciting outdoor and indoor activities in the region.

All bookings include breakfast, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi. Dinner is available on request. Guests are welcome in the kitchen, dining room, living rooms and music room - feel free to cook, read, play the piano or join a board game.

Enjoy homemade food, local ingredients, good coffee, organic juices and farm made ice cream. Locally sourced products and second-hand books are for sale.

Volunteer with us
We welcome volunteers year-round. As a volunteer, you will take part in everyday family life while helping with guest rooms, housework, meals, guests, gardening and practical tasks.
In return, you will enjoy a warm, multilingual home, beautiful surroundings, and the chance to experience Norwegian village life from the inside - plus all meals and accommodation in a shared or private room.

Evanger, where the river Vosso meets Evangervatnet lake
A tiny, picturesque village surrounded by mountains, rivers and fjords. Evanger was once a busy local hub with shops, a hotel and a bakery. The village lies where the famous salmon river Vosso flows into Evangervatnet. Evanger still has its own grocery store, just a couple of minutes' walk from the house.
Rongahuset is a short walk from Evanger railway station, and free parking is available outside the house. The ski resorts, many beautiful hiking trails and other indoor and outdoor activities around Voss are within easy reach by car or train.
The small beach on Evangervatnet is just two minutes away, and two kayaks are available for guests when the weather is good.
